Samm: Senior Photos

Samm is another one of my beautiful senior girls that I get to lead at youth group every week. She's a rockstar senior, involved in her school's drama club including starring in Death of a Salesman last year, volunteers with our middle school youth group as a leader, and is incredibly loyal to her friends. She's one of my favorite students to talk movies, boys and simply catch up on life with. When I first met Samm her sophmore year of high school she had jet black and purple hair... and while she was awesome then, it's been so much fun to watch her grow into a beautiful, whitty and stand-her-ground girl! And while she may think Seattle's calling her name for college, I secretely hope she'll stay right here so that I get to experience the next few years of her life with her. She definitely adds to the awesomeness in my life!

We started her session off at Wash Park... and then headed downtown. 

We both loved the contrast of the beautiful fall leaves on the ground with the urban brick wall...

Samm, I can't wait to see you finish out this last year and move onto greater things whether here in Colorado or off in Washington or somewhere in between. You rock and I love ya! 

Meghan: Senior Photos

Meghan is another one of the lovely seniors who is in the youth group that I help out with. She is a beautful, talented, and incredibly smart girl who I've loved having the pleasure of getting to know over the last year. She's one of my favorite students to sit down over ice cream with and talk about all the unknowns of life. Whenever I ask what she's going to do next she always has a different answer which always amuses me. From government politics to education... whatever she chooses to do next she'll undoubtably be amazing at. 

We split her session in to two days... the first we hit up denver, mainly the Capital area. 

And then a few days later we headed out to Chatequa in Boulder... I love the mix of these two vastly different backgrounds. 

She even modeled her homecoming dress for me! 

This was literally the last shot on day two... I love it! 

Meghan, you have grown into a stunning young woman and it's been an honor to get to know you over the last year. Keep asking those deep questions and continue to search for your own answers because your ambition is awesome. Can't wait to see what the next few years bring! Love ya!

Alex and Amir: Wedding

It's always a great honor when friends call me when they get engaged, and even more fun when those calls come from friends who I haven't heard from since high school. Alex and I first met in the middle school band and stayed friends throughout high school. We spent quite a bit of her wedding day reminiscing about old times and catching up. She and Amir met a few years ago when they realized their shared interest in Johnny Cash... I'll leave it at that! And after a long wedding day I knew what everyone else did... that Amir is the perfect guy for her.

Amir grew up in Kansas City and when planning their wedding they knew right away that they wanted to get married there. Amir had his high school graduation at Memorial Hall and they couldn't think of a better place for their wedding and I could've have agreed more. It was a beautiful venue full of rich history!

The wedding was in Kansas... so of course Alex wore ruby red shoes! 

Alex's mother died of Multiple Sclerosis when Alex was very young. Loved this way that they were able to honor her memory. 

During the reception, I snuck out to take this shot of Memorial Hall.

I always love taking photos of the couple walking back down the aisle as a married couple! The couple is always beeming with joy and Alex and Amir were no exception.
